Hello!
My name is Sophie - I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC #20554) and professional Art Therapist. I have been working with kids, teens, adults, and communities for 7+ years through supportive mental health programming and art therapy.
Through my work, I strive to create a warm and authentic space where clients feel supported to acknowledge, explore, and maybe gently challenge, some deeper emotions, beliefs, or patterns.
I practice from a relational, attachment, and trauma-informed lens. In working together, you can expect a collaborative and client-centered approach to navigating and exploring how thoughts, feelings, and experiences inform how we show up to and interact with the world around us.
In my time outside of work, I love to find a balance between getting outside and enjoying some cozy indoor time with tea and good company.
In my private practice, I work with youth (age 13+) and adult clients.
I work from an anti-oppressive and trauma-informed lens. I welcome clients of any gender identity, sexual orientation, or relationship type.
I welcome folks who are new to therapy, as well as those who may be returning. Wherever you are at, we'll meet you there!
I pull from an assortment of therapy approaches to help you create change and process difficult experiences. These include:
